FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- What are Digital Prop Composites?
-
This is where I Photoshop the baby into a really cute prop. Rather than having to store a bunch of props that take up space I have gone the digital route for my props. I have over 200 digital props to choose from. You can view a before and after example under newborn props.
- When Should I Book My Newborn Session?
-
Its never too early to get on my newborn photo shoot schedule. Most clients book during their 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy. I have limited availability each month to account for the extra wiggle room needed for new births. Once your baby is born we will pick your photo session date.
I like to schedule Newborn sessions between 5-12 days of life. Newborns are sleepiest during this time. After the 2 week mark, newborn babies are less likely to be in a deep sleep and are more easily disturbed when trying to pose them into the really cute newborn poses. I have photographed newborns at 3-4wks too, it just depends on what you want and feel comfortable with.
- How long is a newborn session?
-
Most of my newborn sessions last about 1 1/2- 2 hrs but because we are on baby's time a session can go as long as 3 hours. I allow plenty of time for feeding and soothing your newborn.
- Do you provide the newborn outfits and props?
-
Yes :-) I provide everything. All the outfits, head bows, and wraps on the site are mine.
- My Baby is already past 2 weeks old is it too late?
-
It is still possible to photograph your baby after 2wks, however, the photos I capture may not be like the images you see on my site. The baby could be awake the whole time and not easily curled into cute poses. Every newborn is different on what they would allow at that age. I will be able to get adorable photos of your baby no matter how old they are.
